Our vacation homes, also called cottages or cabins, are near the east bank of Loch Lomond one of Scotlands favourite Lochs (Lakes) and ideal place to enjoy one of Scotland's most amazing lakeside locations. The self catering lochside vacation cottages are near to charming and popular villages in the heart of Scotland, Aberfoyle and Callander the Gateway to Loch Lomond and Trossachs. They have a good selection hotels and pubs, restaurants, gift and craft shops. Local festivals run during the year. Scotland at it's best.
Near to our self catering vacation cabins or holiday cottages you will find a great choice of activities around the Loch including, fishing, sailing, boat hire. Also available is golf, local bike hire and other watersport and leisure club activiries. There is all types of walking available and cycling routes that will provide some unforgettable views of the Lochs. Scotland and particularly Loch Lomond is perfect for those who enjoy fishing and walking and cycling. You can try Whisky (Whiskey) Tasting at our cottages or take a trip to local distilleries to taste Scotland's whisky at its best. Scotland is the home of golf so you can play at Gleneagles or The Carrick golf course at Loch Lomond. Edinburgh is also very close, so it is possible to take a guided tour of Edinburgh, Scotlands' capital city. Each self catering lakeside vacation cabin and Loch Lomond lodge is spacious and furnished with comfortable and modern furniture. Most have a log burning stove fire in the Lounge. Our vacation homes range from 2 to 8 bedrooms including some located next to each other to cater for those special large house gatherings of up to 30 for those who want Scottish Weddings for example.
Scotland's Loch Lomond and the Trossachs have some of the most scenic beauty spots in Scotland and have been made famous by the stories of Rob Roy. Many of our holiday cottages at Loch Katrine overlook the Factor's Island where Rob Roy used to imprison the Duke of Montrose' factor.
The self catering vacation cabins, Loch Lomond Lodges and Loch Lomond accommodation are near Loch Lomond and Scotland's famous West Highland Way which is a must for all keen walkers. You will be able to walk part of the West Highland Way along Loch Lomond and also visit the caves where Rob Roy hid.
Loch Katrine has become well known because of Scotland's Sir Walter Scott and his Lady of the Lake. The Steam boat bearing his name continues to sail the loch - the only steam driven boat in Scotland.
